A statement from Hackney Foodbank about Face Donate

“In 2022, Hackney Foodbank piloted Face Donate, a project offering digital credit to some of our visitors to enable them to choose their own food. We continued to run and evaluate the project until March 2024 and, while the service was popular with many visitors, it didn’t demonstrate sufficient savings to be viable in the long-term. 

Despite the contract with Face Donate having ended more than a year ago, our logo and a video about the partnership remains on their website. We wish to make it clear that Hackney Foodbank no longer works with Face Donate and we don’t endorse them.”
