Join Hackney Foodbank and Papi Restaurant for our first Footballers Against Hunger charity tournament, with all profits going to the food bank.

 On Monday 7th October eight five-a-side teams will compete for the coveted Hunger Prevention Cup. 

 Expect hot competition and equally hot food and drink courtesy of some of Hackney top restaurants, as well as cold wine and beer from Wingnut Wines.

Some important information

Location: Haggerston Park Football Pitches London E2 8NS

Timings: the tournament will run from 6:30pm to 8:45pm, with multiple matches each lasting 12 minutes.

There'll be up to seven players in each team (including two subs). Signup fees are £50 per player or £350 per team, and teams are then urged to raise a minimum of £500 for Hackney Foodbank via Just Giving.

The food bank is currently supporting around 650 people per week and distributing £40,000 worth of food per month.  Demand has increased by 42% in the past 12 months and this tournament will raise much-needed funds to ensure no-one in our community goes hungry.
