Amazing Neve launches raffle for Hackney charities

‍ Schoolgirl Neve Evans has collected more than £2,000 worth of raffle prizes from local businesses on her mission to raise vital funds for three Hackney charities.

‍15-year-old Neve is working towards her bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and is determined to have a big impact.  She’s raising funds for the Speaker of Hackney’s charities: Pedro Boxing Club, the Hackney Foodbank and Hackney Marsh Partnership.

‍She said: “There are a lot of people in Hackney who don’t get the support that they need and these charities are helping them and helping all types of people – young and old, everyone. They need more recognition and more money and support to help make Hackney the great place that it is.”

‍Neve, who lives in Dalston, has collected more than 50 prizes, from luxury hampers to yoga sessions and gym memberships.  She’s been visiting and emailing businesses around the borough to gather prizes and has built a raffle page on People’s Fundraising.

‍Among the prizes up for grabs are £100 to spend at Bistrotheque Restaurant alongside vouchers for Shine on the Green, Daunt Books, Oddono’s Ice Cream, De Beauvoir Deli, Marquee Moon, Spence Bakery, the Little Wine Shop, Tokyo Bikes, Rowans Bowling, the Castle Climbing Centre  and London Fields Lido.

‍Other prizes include cinema and comedy tickets, a print from Everyday Sunshine, hampers from Brindisa and Dexter’s Estate Agents, dinner for two at Rosa’s Thai and Harmonize Café and an online sourdough bread class with E5 Bakehouse.

‍ Tickets cost £1 each and can be purchased until July 12th at https://www.peoplesfundraisding.com/raffle/hackney-speakers-charity-raffle-2026
