Moose Accounting are making regular donations to Hackney Foodbank over the next three or four months.

From all of us at Hackney Foodbank, thank you for your donation! This will go a very long way to helping us with achieving our goal of ensuring that no one needs to go hungry in our community.

Last week a whopping 5,347.45 kg of food donations were collected for Trick or Eat across Hackney, which makes it the second biggest donation we have received this year!

The Trussell Trust has launched a hunger-free future campaign. This campaign's aim is to build a movement of people to work together and achieve the ultimate goal of a future where people have enough money to buy essentials.

The Trick or Eat donation collection is returning for its second year this Halloween to collect vital supplies for Hackney Foodbank. We are grateful to the local discount card company The Local Buyers Club, who run this event.

If you can’t afford food, you can call 0808 2082138 (freephone) for free to speak to a trained and independent Citizens Advice agent.

Service will continue at our established centres for the time being. However, in light of the coronavirus, and to minimise risk, both to our volunteers and to clients, we have temporarily changed to an "at-the-door" service.

From Tuesday 24th December to Friday 3rd January, there are no foodbank centres open.

Due to the incredible response to our appeal for food donations, we now face the unprecedented task of having insufficient storage to hold it all!

The Hackney foodbank office will be closed from 12 noon Tuesday 24th December until 10.00am Thursday 2nd January 2020. Our warmest wishes to you for hope and human compassion this Christmas and New Year.

Unfortunately, the council is closing our road, Cherbury St, on that day. This will mean you will not be able to access our warehouse from New North Road.

WE ARE RUNNING A REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR THIS YEAR. The food items that you donate will be used to help individuals and families who are really struggling over the festive season.
